Strong construction with pivoting compression tank
Sometimes the installation circumstances are so complex that the engineer becomes an artist. That was especially true in this case when we were to design a shock absorber for the 2006 Kawasaki ZX10RR. With this motorcycle the rear is so rammed up that the only solution to mount a compression tank was to position it tilted to the top past the exhaust pipe! No sooner said than done another new cast part was created for our unit assembly system which is constantly growing due to our flexibility.
As with all our Competition shocks here again the compression setting is tuneable in 22 steps each in the high- and low-speed setting. The rebound adjustment can also be modified by 22 clicks and its adjustment wheel can be easily reached at the bottom of the shock. As a matter of fact of course you might also equip the shock with one of our Wilbers accessories, the hydraulic preload adjuster or the variable ride height adjuster. As a matter of course this type is also available in the Classic line.
