3612/4681 SA-BAVP ("Piggy Back") mono shock absorbers

The WP "Piggyback" shock absorber was developed on the race track for the all-demanding motorcyclist, that often use their bike "on the limit", on the race track or with pillion and/or luggage. The shock absorber is fitted with an external reservoir in which the oil and nitrogen are separated from one other. This technique enables the damping to remain stable irrespective of the load. The BA VP type shock absorber is equipped with the Temperature Compensation System (TCS), which was developed on the racing track. TCS ensures that the damping losses, that would normally occur when the temperature in the shock absorber increases, are automatically compensated. The VP shock absorber comes with an 11 position rebound damping adjustment, and a 7 position compression damping adjustment, in addition to continuously adjustable spring pre load. Both the rebound and compression adjustments can be set by hand, whilst the spring pre-load can be adjusted using the hook spanners also included as standard. This provides you with the same options as a Grand Prix racer. These adjustment options ensure that the shock absorber can be fully adjusted to your own requirements.Depending on your weight, and whether or not you often carry a passenger and luggage, harder or softer springs are also available. We can help you select the right spring.A hydraulic spring pre load adjustment and/or length adjustment are also available as optional extras.
